What up, world?

I re-joined Weight Watchers on Thursday morning.
The program worked for me, and I successfully lost 25 pounds before they switched to PointsPlus. On that new system, I never lost, I was only maintaining- at that point, I still wanted to lose weight.
So I stopped. And over the last year and a half, I have steadily gained back 15 of those pounds. I'm not happy, definitely not healthy, and counting calories is just not my thing. I need the accountability of a program, and I think that since I'm paying for it, I will be more likely to follow the plan.

I went grocery shopping today and am really excited about my purchases. I'll be really honest here- I'm a binge eater.... so I tried to not buy anything I would be able to just sit down and EAT. So the soups I'll be eating this week will be served without crackers. The only thing I'm a little nervous about is the bag of almonds I bought. I plan to weight out the almonds into portions and put them in little bags so that I can just grab a serving right away.

Chicken pot pie soup (this is delicious!)
Taco soup (also very good)
Salsa-baked hake (fish), brown rice, salad

I bought a bunch of salad stuff, so I'll just take a combination each day
spring mix, broccoli slaw, grape tomatoes, celery, almonds, dried cranberries, tuna, balsamic vinegarette

100cal multi-grain English muffins (so good!)
"Laughing Cow" cinnamon cream cheese wedge

Celery with "laughing cow" garden veggie cream cheese wedge
Raw almonds
Grape tomatoes

Eating tortilla chips from the bag as I type. I. Am. Pitiful. And clearly can't buy these again.

Yummy day

-same breakfast combo as yesterday
-same coffee
-1 3/4 cup Asian salad kit and 1/3lb of seared beef strips
-snacked on 1 serving of tortilla chips with 100 cal pack of guacamole
-chicken (sauteed thinly sliced breast) Parmesan (1/3 cup pizza cheese) with spaghetti squash(1 cup) and peas (3/4 cup and added 1 tbs butter). Sauce is kroger brand marinara (1/2 cup). Absolutely delicious dinner! Can't wait for leftovers!!

I plan on having some more water and a cup of herbal tea before bed. I felt pretty good today, but wish I would have snacked smarter. I feel really good about my dinner! I bought a plate lunch (pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw, baked beans, and dessert) for lunch tomorrow. But I think I'll give away my lunch ticket and enjoy leftover Asian chopped salad and a sautéed chicken breast. That seems like a healthier choice for me, especially when I'm still struggling with self control.

Feeling good!

When I woke up this morning, I felt refreshed and energized. It's been a long while since I've felt that way at 5am. While I'm sure it's mostly mental, I really felt so much more like myself than I have lately.

Today was a good day, as far as my food and caloric intake. I had the pizza leftover from Friday, and just couldn't bring myself to throw away more than half a pizza. I was proud of myself for only one snack at home, and for enjoying two vegetables with my one slice of pizza. I actually consumed several hundred calories less than yesterday. On to the food.....

-yogurt with berries and honey (same measurements as yesterday)
-3 cups coffee with 4tbs white chocolate raspberry creamer
-same salad kit and mustard baked chicken as yesterday, but only ate half the chicken
-3oz baby carrots (forgot to take picture until I was halfway through)
-1 cup herbal tea (throat hurts)
-1 slice pizza from papa johns, 1 cup roasted broccoli, 1/2 cup roasted carrots

I've had more than 64oz of water and plan on at least one more cup! Thanks for joining me on my journey!!

A good day!

I am so happy- I just finished dinner and I am totally satisfied. My plan is to have a couple of glasses of water over the next couple of hours before it's time to sleep. And here is what I enjoyed today:

-Plain Greek yogurt(1/2 cup), 1/3 cup each raspberries and blackberries, 2 tbs honey
-Coffee(2cups) with raspberry white chocolate creamer(6tbs)
-Spinach harvest salad(kroger salad kit) and mustard baked chicken breast (sweet&spicy mustard)
Baby carrots(3oz) with guacamole (100 calorie wholly guacamole)
Roasted broccoli(1 cup) and fajita steak nachos (12 chips, 2oz cheese dip, 1 green bell pepper, 3oz beef)
